The Property

About Indian Hill Road

Vacation on Martha’s Vineyard in our modern home in West Tisbury, close to Lambert’s Cove
Beach and many attractions on Indian Hill Road. Fully renovated in 2019, this inviting colonial
home in West Tisbury is fully equipped with all the modern amenities in an open floor plan with
plenty of space for all. We are in a private and quiet 4.3-acre wooded area, but within a 10-
minute drive to the lively town of Vineyard Haven – and a 10-minute walk to the local market,
post office, ATM, and pharmacy.

The house is sited on top of a hill and above the surrounding countryside. It is surrounded by
mature beech and oak trees, giving it the feeling of a tree house, open to breezes that blow
through the trees. Enjoy the gourmet kitchen with top-of-the-line LG appliances. The large
kitchen island with comfortable seating for 6 is perfect for interacting with friends and family
while preparing delicious meals. The furnishings were professionally selected and are by
Restoration Hardware; they grace and complement each room. This four-level home can take a
crowd and still be comfortable for a couple or two who want their own private spaces. In
addition to bedrooms and the living room/library, you can relax on the back deck, large cedar
side porch, and in our garden level game and media room. Sonos speakers allow the music of
your choice to play in separate areas of the house and deck – or all over.

The large open first floor has a wonderful kitchen island seating area, dining area, and living
room with gas fireplace and library created with built-in floor-to-ceiling bookcases. The second
floor features a master suite and two large bedrooms. The third floor is wide open but features
two queen-size beds, several desks, and comfortable chairs for writing, reading, and/or remote
office work. Within the home, four luxury bathrooms come fully equipped with toiletries.
The garden Level features a large flat-screen TV, ping pong table, a games table, chairs for easy
TV viewing, and pull-out sofa bed. Because we aim to cater to all ages, we have on hand a
sturdy wooden cot and highchair for our youngest guests.
The house sleeps 10+, with 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.

The Neighborhood

This warm family home is in West Tisbury on the beautiful island of Martha’s Vineyard. It is located off Indian Hill Road near Arrowhead Farm. This large equestrian center is open to the public. The property is also just down the road from Cedar Tree Neck, one of the island’s most beautiful walking trail systems. In addition, we are near Polly Hill Arboretum, several family-owned farms and farm stands, and a five-minute drive to beautiful Lambert’s Cove Beach.

We are seven miles northwest of the Martha’s Vineyard Airport, and just five miles west of the Vineyard Haven Ferry Terminal, located in the charming town of Vineyard Haven. The Vineyard’s other towns all lie within easy reach and offer their own special attractions:  Oak Bluffs boasts gingerbread houses, the country’s oldest working carousel, and beloved Inkwell Beach. Edgartown provides quiet elegance, with its Federalist architecture and sense of history. Chilmark’s many walking trails and Aquinnah’s cliffs and beaches round out any trip to the island, offering spectacular views and abundant natural beauty.

While a car is always handy, Martha’s Vineyard offers public transportation with electric busses that carry customers all over the island, with stops at frequent intervals in all the towns – including one at the bottom of our road. And, of course, bicycles abound. There are many ways to explore the island; just never enough time to discover it all!
